Mirror websites, in computing, are the replica of the data set. This can be better understood in a way that on internet, a mirror website is an exact copy of another internet site. The purpose of creating mirror websites is to provide the multiple sources of the same information and they posses a particular value of providing reliable access to large downloads. The basic motive of creating a mirror website is to provide a file synchronization - mirroring is a type of file synchronization. Mirror website can be used to preserve a website or page, especially when it is closed or is about to be closed. Also, to allow faster downloads for users at a specific geographical location.

Are you speaking about sites like IInternet Archive etc., which archive webpages? or are you speaking about generic pages with same content but on different domains?
