Blog pagerank is N/A.. what's that's mean?

A friend of mine has a new blog and its pagerank is N/A. What's that mean? is that because of his blog still new, or because he still had very low traffic? How to change the pagerank at least to 0 (i think 0 is better than N/A) right?

try link building, forum participation, social bookmarking..

That just means that the site is new and has not received a rank yet - its nothing to worry about.

Without receiving a pagerank yet means that your niche target has not been optimized very well and thus, making it impossible for the search engines to crawl on his keywords. Your friend should start distributing his links and promoting his product through bookmarking which is one of the most simplest ways to start - take note too that it should be submitted to Web 2.0 websites such as Digg, Reddit, Stumbleupon, and so forth.
