Slow rackspace FTP

For a while now I am experiencing really poor speeds when uploading to Rackspace's FTP. The problem is not the speed itself, but that it takes a lot of time to upload multiple files. It seems like the server doesn't accept new connections that fast.

Is anyone having the same problem?

Edit: I just uploaded the .zip and extracted it via the File Manager on the web. Works perfect :-).

What program are you using to upload the files? Are you uploading with FTP or SFTP?
