Revenue Share And Ads

I think this website should utilize revenue sharing with adsense on the bottom of the forum so that everyone can make some money and also the host can make some money to pay for hosting, support, and maintainence. A few ads never hurts =) As long as they aren't popups or interstititials of course.

Yes this is a great idea, I think it would help the forum earn money and it would give incentive for people to come and try to earn money themselves, but right now I don't think the forum is at a stage where this is really necessary. I think the design is what should be more than the money making aspects of the forum. I really like this forum and I hope to see it grow in the future to something much bigger than it is now. In order to make that happen we have to do our part to contribute relevant and informative posts, so other people will WANT to come here for answers and to discuss advertising.

It's a nice idea, indeed. This way the forum could earn a hell lot of money and will be ranked good as well. It will also open so many doors for the persons who can make money online. But it seems that the owners are running out of their funds now (its my personal opinion) and for them it will be a tough task to do. On the other side, even, we can also contribute our best efforts to make this forum work better. Try to post what you think will be read not just to make an avalanche of threads as someone is competing the others. Be specific when you post the data.

Aha! But with advertisements on the forum - they will have more funds to do other things, especially powering these forums to make it faster. Without ads, they will have to find other sources of income to power up these forums, especially if it gets really big and they have to use dedicated servers to power it.

This may be the another issue. But sooner or later, they will need to do this. Somewhere later they will require to put some thing that catch maximum user attraction. I'm not sure about the powering up the forum and know least about it but the niche is like has to be given a thought. Its upto admins what they think and do will surely be considered as the best.

I'll leave all those decisions to be taken by the admin with a suggestion that a bit of advertisement never hurts and income surely don't hurt at all. I guess they will take right decision, whatever it may be.

We will be monetizing the forums, not yet tough.

I don't really feel comfortable with revenue sharing as that in some situations encourages people to click on ads.

But I'll think about it

Ya you are corect hendrik..as you said revenue sharing right now will not be a good thing to duo blogger..And I suggest you to wait for placing ads till we are becoming popular.

Two reasons am thinking
i) Even if you place some ads right now it wont be making that much revenue, and will take time till this become very popular(though it will be happening soon). So it will be resulting just to destroy the adfree banner of duo blogger which is a perfect forum now. This is ideal to many other forums. So please keep it the same. As even this feature can attract members
ii) If you are waiting for a few days this will be booming in to heights after that you can get superb ads and great profit too. With in the time you will be having a good count of memebers..

Currently building links to the forum, Google has to see links first before they start crawling. If it gets crawled then yes it will get a lot more crowded here

But before starting it, i think you should take there's permission on it. DP has also done that but i think their account was deleted, and the ads on the forums stoped running.
Should look at it also.
