There are several special plugins available for wordpress platform ,which are tailor made for ease of use for adsense .

Inline:- this plugin inserts the ads in the blog posts.

Ad rotator:- This plugin is pretty much useful when you want to run more than one type of publishers so you can have ads such as adsense,chitika and others rotating one by one .

Adsense Earning Plugin:-
After installing this plugin you can get the information about the current earnings of adsense account right into your wordpress admin area.

In my opinion these are must have plugins .

I'm currently experimenting with the thesis theme. And the guy who created it added a openHook plugin which allows you to configure every element of your blog yourself.

So adding 2 large rectangles of 336 by 280 is really easy. (mind increasing the width to match the two rectangles of the website is done in the option)

I'll take a pic of it as soon as I'm done with coding it.
