Default AdSense CTR of targeted traffic

the CTR or the click through rate is actually dependent on the type of traffic that is visiting the webpage and the percentage will increase with the proper traffic, it is here where targetted traffic will play a role, just getting the traffic by email advertising etc or by initial adwords publicity will be good but not sustainable, gettng traffic from relevant areas, such as by backlinks from good PR sites or relevant and similar content will be good traffic, such traffic will stay at the site longer and hence chances of converting the view to clicks is increased by such targetting traffic

what i take is that targetted traffic is very essential.
using strategy like viral marketing , or even email marketing may get initlal traffic ,however the traffic will not be sustained unless the site has got content to match ,then the traffic will convert to clicks better and some CTR engineering of adsense should bring good result.
for that Good PR backlinks,
similar niche backlinks all counts
to bring in the good traffic, sometimes buying traffic will boost adsense revenue temporarily but the CTR will fall once the traffic settles down,CTR is a reflection of the affinity of the visitor to the page and it should be a link in progression to the content.

CTR for targeted traffic is higher as the ads are more relevant to the user.

Having general content results in general ads. The more general the more interest-based ads are required, still, niche traffic results in most clicks.

it is proven by me and other webmasters that visitors coming through search engines give you the most of you click through rate. The other visitors coming form referrers like different websites and forums convert less as many of them are not targeted and they just click the url to find out whats inside. So increasing the search engine visitors will also increase the click through rate. Here by search engine visitors I mean targeted traffic because search engine traffic is the most targeted traffic. Better focus on long tail keywords to reach good search positions.

Yup they do as they are new on your site.

Visitors who got used to your website most likely ignore the ads :-).

Traffic and CTR are both related bodies that is why when you are aiming for a maximized CTR, you also have to maximize traffic. To do this, you just have to open your minds into diverse methods of increasing CTR such as keeping the quality contents, layouting of website, choosing the potential ad formats and providing the best placements. You should focus on dealing with the behavior of your pages by regularly testing and analyzing which perform the best. Experimenting with targeted keywords always take part as keys so when you have gathered the audience on track, you definitely will expect a good flow of traffic and CTR at the same time.

I have observed that when traffic comes from the sites that are having good PR and from the same niche then the CTR getting is quite higher than that of the other traffic. Even CTR depends on the country also. Traffic coming from UK US gets more CTR. Even Search engine traffic gives more CTR.
