Default AdSense CTR factors

CTR is the click through rate or the percentage of the viewers who actually click on the ads of a particular webpage which has adsense enabled.
various factors will go into making this rate high or low.
suppose a person goes to the particular website ,he or she may be tempted to click on the ads only ,
if the ads are relevant to the subject of the webpage. if the webpage is a blog on insurance and the ads displayed are on cookies then in all probability that the viewer will not click on the ads and the publisher misses out on revenue.
here is where google targetted ads placement makes its mark, as adsense ads are mostly related to the content.

You are right to some extent ,there are many factors decide your CTR
First and foremost is your content.According SEO experts content is the king.As Google's biggest advantage is it serves content related ads so if any visitors come from arch engine searching for a particular topic so when they find another interesting ads related to same topic they instantly click those ads ,mainly one site content should be finance, beauty, health related blogs those content attract good clicks or CTR.Another thing webmaster should place the pub code in good palce withing the post or contents and colour should be matching with the background blending completely so that CTR will increase.

You just need to figure out which pages have the lowest click-throughs and proceed to removing your ads on those pages, this way your CTR goes up and results to higher earnings per click. There are lots of scripts out there to use that are good for figuring out which pages are getting the highest clicks, and which are not.

By saying this you basically mean that we are not working on a particular template for the whole site, but customizing each and every page individually! I guess it would be pretty uneasy for a person who doesn't know the programming.
Somehow, I have not been able to appreciate the adsense for placing ads on my blog....most of them are not relevant.

Hey theadmantalks, great post, would like to discuss that there are several other factor that could determine you CTR factor. Foremost, the industry you belong and the type of ad that are used. In case, you send out emails then the probable CRT is at least 50%. And for Google Adsense on your website/blog then it should be at least 10-15% CTR. You need know that CTR is very important as it tells you how well your copy is doing. If you have a well written ad, post, or email that really makes the lead want to learn more, then you would are sure to have high click through rate.

ctr(click through rate) depends on so many factors. The major of them is the souce from where your visitors are coming for example whether they are coming from search engines or some referring websites. Search engine visitors are considered more loyal and they browse more number of pages and surely the chances of clicking your ads increases. From my point of view this is the only factor which mainly determines your ctr. The other small factors are like your color ad blending or the number of ads you have per page on your website.

As far as i know CTR i.e Click Through Ratio is the ratio of the amount of clicks generated to the amount of traffic generated.
So basically it counts how many visits per ad clicked.

It should be as low as possible, that is amount of ads clicked should always be lower than traffic the site gets.
So if the site is having higher CTR might be because of click fraud, and which will result in banning the account.

You must know that the CTR is very important because it indicates to you that at which point your copy made. If you have a well written advertisement, post, or the email which makes really the wire want to learn more, then you are sure to have the click raised by the rate. The commander of them is the souce from where your visitors come for example if they come from the search engines or some Web sites of reference. Visitors of Search Engine are considered more faithful and they review more number of pages and surely the possibilities of clicking on your advertisements increases. From my point of view it is the only factor which determines mainly your CTR.

here is an epic case of 'less the more', if your CTR is less that means with less page impressions more clicks are taking place! which is a good thing , indeed a wonderful thing for your bank balance! but the CTR or the click through rate is not the only indice for your revenue potential , along with the CPC and various other factors which will ultimately reflect on your earnings,
i agree with webtechno in the argument that content is the king, as when a visitor is on the site for its content, then even CTR is going to go up ,no matter what, that is basic principle of seo as far as i know,
also the ads placement and some other things like targetted ads (which is not totally in your hands, maybe somewhat by the tags you supply the bots)
