This post does not immediately relate to AdSense, however I do want to introduce my newly created WordPress blog Create Authority Backlinks.
The idea behind this blog is that anyone can register an account there and start posting articles, creating an authority blog overtime. The more authors that are posting articles, the faster it will become an authority blog. But why join?
See it from this point: A single author blog will take tons of time to produce content, and therefore – if you’re not an exception – will never get an authority site. Even DuoBlogger is run by 2 guys ;)
The strength lies with multiple authors, all producing content for their own target websites. Include a backlink to a newly made website of yours and get it ranked/indexed fast. If you are tired of making Wordpress/Blogger blogs with 2 posts and then moving on to create the next blog: this works much better than making those spam blogs.
So the concept is pretty simple, post quality content and link to your own targeted website. (with the right anchor text of course)
Google values editorial directories such as DMOZ and Yahoo!’s directory. Having a link on an article directory that isn’t edited by the admin will not be as strong as a having a backlink from those 2 websites. (not considering the PageRank).
If the articles on a directory are not monitored by an admin, too many spam articles will pop up and devalue the directory as a whole.
And trust me, Google knows which sites are crap and which not.
That is why I wrote the author requirements, this will not only reduce the confusion for submitting articles, but it will also make sure all the articles are of high quality. Which is what we want if we want to rank high in the serp’s and drawing more visitors to the blog. Ultimately making money from them using the AdSense Revenue Sharing plugin. Monetization will start once the blog reaches 100 search visitors a day.
Authors that submit a lot of articles of high quality will be eligble to share the revenue with. The only thing I need from you is your publisher ID and a channel number, which is optional if you want to track it’s performance.
If you are interested in joining me from the start and get ahead of others, follow this sign up link and register an account.
See you there!
Cheers,
Mark
PS. If you have any more questions regarding this concept, make a comment below or one on the newly created blog.
Cheers I grab some idea to your article and very informative.good luck and regards
This is a good idea, but I think it will still be tough to maintain overall article quality. Anytime you are offering free links, the spammers eventually smell the opportunity like vultures. Good luck.
If it catches on too fast, I’ll reduce the level of registering to subscriber and let them email me if they want to be upgraded to contributor. But for now I want to make it as easy as possible for others to start writing and submitting your articles.
I think this won’t really catch on until the website builds up some Google PageRank. Most people only bother building links on sites that they think will help them. A PR0 likely won’t help much.
True, but it’s not easy to get a Page Rank within two weeks :P
Well yeah that is a given. Still I don’t think you’ll see a lot of use until you do get some PR. For this kind of site it might’ve been a good idea to build up PR separately before launching.
Thanks for the information,it will come in quite handy for building backlinks to my site. Keep the info hot this helps people with business websites.
Interesting idea. I guess it will depend on how many people want to participate in it. Right now I am being pulled in so many different directions, it is tough to determine what the best use of my time is. I know you have just launched the site, have people been receptive to the idea?
Not a lot :) But haven’t done that much link building myself as Hendrik and I are making two additional sites next to DuoBlogger. It’s a version in German and Dutch which will be targeted for an local audience. Plus the iPhone app will be coming soon.
I like the idea and agree with ATVAuction, that you will have to monitor the quality of the articles, otherwise the spammers will have a field day!

Great post and also I like your blog, You got some great information on your blog. Keep it up Mark.
good idea, I want to read your author requirements to check if I am qualified, but it shows a 404 page. Would you please have a check, Mark?
I agree! There is something about creating a mark for yourself to become real person in minds and hearts another web users. This is very important because we don’t like robots. Real person is someone that we could trust.
Hey Mark,
That sounds like a good concept. We all no as many quality backlinks the better.
I guess this is similar to a ‘guest post’ on another webmasters site.
Cheers for the info
Wayne
So, this sounded like an interesting idea to start. I visited the site, and while it seems to now have a page rank of 2, the site now seems to be a news aggregation site…. or have I missed something. What’s your plan in moving forward?
@Mark: It’s been 4 months since you launched the concept. Do you want to share your experiences here? Did you receive many spam posts? How did you verify that the submissions were unique?
I hope you have already hit the 100 search engine visitors.
Actually the whole concept changed. It was way too much work for 1 guy to manage apart from all the daily stuff I had to do. So instead I’ve changed it into something which is kinda greyhat, but surely works.
Site is getting about 300-500 visitors a day at this moment and making me 8-10 bucks on AdSense alone.
